2 ways to connect Claude
You only need one thing: the Octopost server URL. Claude discovers the sign-in flow on its own.

In Claude, go to Settings → Connectors and click Add custom connector.

Name it Octopost, paste the server URL and click Add.

After Connect, a browser window opens. Log in, pick the workspace and click Authorize.

Tip Sharing with your team? Add --scope project to the command and Claude Code writes the server to .mcp.json in your repo. Each teammate still signs in with their own Octopost account.
Custom connectors depend on your Claude plan. On Team and Enterprise plans an owner may need to add the connector first. Full reference in the MCP server docs.

Custom connectors are tied to your Claude plan, and availability changes over time. Check Settings → Connectors in Claude - if you can add a custom connector, you can add Octopost. Claude Code works with any account that can run it.
Not by default. Claude can create drafts and scheduled posts, but publishing immediately stays off until you enable it for that connection in Settings → API → App Clients. Workspace approval rules also still apply.
Only the one you pick when authorizing. To work with another workspace, add a second connector and authorize it separately.
MCP tool calls carry JSON only, so files cannot be sent through them. Upload media in Octopost, or ask Claude to import an image or video from a public URL.
Remove the connector in Claude, or delete the client in Octopost under Settings → API → App Clients. Revoking in Octopost stops every open session on its next request.
