Connect ChatGPT in 4 steps

You only need one thing: the Octopost server URL. ChatGPT discovers the sign-in flow on its own.

Server URL https://octopost.ai/mcp

ChatGPT web & desktop

Custom connectors run in developer mode.

  1. Open Settings → Apps & Connectors, then enable Developer mode under Advanced settings.

  2. Click Create, name it Octopost, paste the server URL and choose OAuth.

  3. After Create, a browser window opens. Log in, pick the workspace and click Authorize.

  4. Octopost now shows up as a tool. Ask in plain language.

Custom connectors require a ChatGPT plan where developer mode is available. Menu names in ChatGPT change from time to time - look for Connectors or Apps in Settings. Full reference in the MCP server docs.

Any plan where ChatGPT lets you create a custom connector in developer mode. OpenAI decides which plans include it, so check Settings → Apps & Connectors in your account.

No. Each connection is bound to the single workspace you pick while authorizing.

Data that reaches ChatGPT through a connector follows your ChatGPT data controls and OpenAI's policies for your plan. Octopost only returns data for the scopes you granted.
